GARLAND Ken Peacefully passed away in York District Hospital on 24th April 2024, surrounded by his family. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather Funeral to be held Weds 8th May 10.30 at Wilberfoss Church followed by cremation at Octon Crematorium, East Riding. Wake at Sandburn Hall from 2 pm. If attending WilberFoss Church, please park on Main Street and walk to church (2 min walk). Please car share where possible. Family flowers only please. Ken has been a very good friend and neighbour for over 24 years – always extremely kind, generous and supportive. He will be dearly missed by Sue, his wonderful family and many friends. Sincere heartfelt condolences to all the family, Richard and Wendy Dunn.

I knew Ken when I was involved in politics and when I was Sheriff and Master of the Guild of Scrivenors.
He was always a gentleman - kind, courteous and thoughtful . Highly thought of by his peers.
He was not even fazed when my wife and I turned up unexpectedly and moored our boat at the bottom of his garden.
A life well led. Condolences to his family.
