A LORRY was badly damaged by fire at a busy junciton in North Yorkshire.
999 services were called to the junction of the A59 and A1(M) at Allerton Park at 1.35am today.
The fire began in the rea axle of the lorry, which was carrying a 12-tonne load.
The road was closed until 4.40am.
