LOCAL accountancy firm Hunter Gee Holroyd is looking for businesses to take part in a TV show.
The Dealmaker will follow three companies as they are advised by a team from The Corporate Finance Network, of which York-based Hunter Gee Holroyd is part, to make their first business acquisition.
The show will film the process from the start through to legal completion, with the firm waiving the fees for the transaction.
Mark Grewer from Hunter Gee Holroyd, said: “In our view, there has never been a better time to buy a business.
“With so many struggling companies in our current economy, and ageing business owners with no exit plan, it is definitely a buyer’s market.
“There are some bargains to be had, but we do need more entrepreneurs to look at purchasing, as part of their overall growth strategy.
We hope this TV programme will demystify the process of buying a business, so that business owners, and employees of smaller businesses, may be encouraged to look at the option of a merger or acquisition in their own markets.”
