STAFF at Harrogate’s Rudding Park Hotel, Spa & Golf were celebrating after winning a hat-trick of awards voted for by their visitors.
The AA four Red Star hotel and spa with a gym, private cinema, restaurant and 18-hole parkland golf course, was voted number one hotel in the UK, second in the top hotels of Europe and fourth in the top hotels of the world in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2013.
Travellers rated Rudding Park above some of the finest hotels in London, enabling it to win the national award for the third time in the last four years.
Peter Banks, managing director at Rudding Park, said: “Winning this national award three times in the last four years is a tremendous achievement. The fact we are also placed as a top hotel in Europe and the world is a wonderful accomplishment for the whole team.
“I am extremely proud of every member of our team. We strive to provide the best possible value through a real care for our guests, experienced within the highest-quality environment.”
Studley Royal Park, including the ruins of Fountains Abbey, ranked third in a TripAdvisor top ten of the most highly recommended UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the UK.
Studley Royal, where visitors can reflect on more than 900 years of history, was ranked above the city of Bath, Westminster Palace and Westminster Abbey in the results, based on more than 1.1 million traveller feedback forms, collected in partnership with UNESCO.
