A YORK bar will help fight malaria this month with a live music showcase.
The event at the Living Room, in Bridge Street, will be on Thursday, April 25, to coincide with World Malaria Day. Money raised will buy mosquito nets via the United Nations Foundation's worldwide Nothing But Nets campaign.
The initiative distributes nets to families in sub-Saharan Africa and teaches people how to use them.
At the Living Room event, musician Adam Pond will play throughout the evening and take requests for a suggested donation of £5 per song.
A Mosquito Mojito cocktail will be sold throughout April with £1 from each purchase going towards the campaign.
