A York hotel hopes to spur on fundraising for Jeans for Genes day with a Wild West-inspired dish.
The Park Inn by Radisson York is celebrating the jeans theme for the charity day on Friday with a special dish of Texan chilli, loved by many a denim-clad cowboy.
The North Street hotel will donate 20 per cent of sales of the dish on the day to the Jeans for Genes fundraising drive, which helps children with genetic disorders. In addition, 20 per cent of sales of Budweiser lager and Californian wine will also be donated to the charity. The Texan chilli recipe has been specially prepared by the hotel’s head chef, Mark Rhodes, and features jalapenos, pimento and scotch bonnet chillies.
