Yorkshire is home to some of the most picturesque landscapes in the country, but according to tree experts they could be under threat from pests and diseases.
An initiative led by The Yorkshire Arboretum, Castle Howard, will teach people about tree health problems and what they can do to help protect them.
As part of the OPAL Tree Health Survey, Dr Alison Dyke, from the University of York, will teach people how to identify some of the pests and diseases that affect oak, ash and horse chestnut trees.
A workshop will be held on Thursday, August 15, from 1.30pm. To book a place, phone 01653 648598 or email visit@yorkshirearboretum.org
