A FRESH look at introducing kerbside cardboard recycling is set to be taken by two North Yorkshire councils next year.
Hambleton and Richmondshire District Councils have received a petition calling for cardboard to be collected and recycled from properties, but have said their current vehicles do not have the capacity to do this.
However, with the leases for most of those vehicles expiring next year, the authorities will look at whether cardboard recycling could be brought in, while recycling officers will also analyse using equipment and vehicles to compact card in the meantime.
