A YORK rugby club has secured approval to fit solar panels to its clubhouse.
Heworth Rugby League Club, which is based in Elmpark Way, will use the panels to provide power for the facility after City of York Council planners gave the go-ahead for the scheme.
The project will see 16 solar photovoltaic panels to generate heat and electricity installed on the clubhouse roof.
