A clothes and presents swap is being organised in York tonight.
The “Re-use” event, which takes place between 7.30pm and 9.30pm this evening at Space 109 community arts centre in Walmgate, is being organised by Labour councillor Anna Semlyen as a party fundraiser.
“Swishing – or swapping clothes – has recently become more popular,” she said. “Many British women have clothes that they don’t wear but which are not worn out.
“Getting together and sharing what we have spare is ecological, enjoyable and a great way to raise funds. Search through your wardrobe. Bring along anything that no longer fits or suits you and swap it. You never know what you might find.”
Admission to the event costs £3.
