I write regarding your article “Back to the Sixties for charity concert” (Friday April 12).
I have a ticket for this event and can assure readers that those who dress up will not be wearing mini skirts or bell-bottom trousers as suggested in the piece. The ladies will be wearing full skirts with net petticoats, tight tops and stiletto shoes and the brave ones will even don stockings and suspenders!
The men will wear teddy boy suits with shirt and shoestring tie and beetle-crusher shoes. I urge people to come along, the music will be great, with all proceeds going to charity.
