In the article on student housing (“It’s like the invasion of the house snatchers”, The Press, March 30) no mention was made of the impact on Badger Hill.
Not only have too many houses been extended beyond their intended boundaries, but we also have acquired cars by the bucket-load.
Almost no verge is now without a car or two, or three.
I am told the new part of the University of York, opposite Badger Hill, is not providing any parking for the students attending there.
Guess where they will park, and are already doing.
I have no doubt none of the councillors who merrily rubber-stamp all these HMOs (houses of multiple occupation) don’t live anywhere near.
Don’t blame the students, they have to live somewhere. Six people in a three-bedroom semi shouldn’t be allowed.
