IN RESPONSE to City of York Council’s request (covered in The Press on August 16), York BNP has removed the council’s coat of arms from our local website’s banner.
However, we would like to state that, contrary to Coun James Alexander’s claims, it was used to fit in with the banner’s York theme, rather than for our “own personal gain”.
