YORK Symphony Orchestra played some lovely music by French composers Debussy and Ravel in their summer concert at York University’s Jack Lyons Hall, on Saturday.
The light texture of these pieces seemed ideal for a summer evening, but I suppose the French see more of the summer than we do. Handel’s water music is more in keeping with this country!
