AFTER David Cameron was told to mind his own business by Nicolas Sarkozy and the imposing of a three-line whip to ensure that the Prime Minister gets his own way over a referendum, we find that the EU is to introduce a two-tier system of member states.
The 17 nations in the euro-zone are to be independent of the remaining ten, which includes the UK, but they still want to be in a position to make decisions which affect all the members without the ‘exiled’ ten having a say.
The EU is quite willing to accept our money to bail out Greece and Ireland, but is not prepared for us to have a say on future legislation, further undermining our right to govern ourselves.
If this does not further strengthen the argument for holding a referendum, what does?
