A BOOK club with a difference is being launched in York.
The York Museums Trust Book Club is starting next month, enabling people to visit one of the museums or galleries and then talk about the club’s book of choice with relevant objects from the Trust’s collections, which members will be able to handle. The first meeting on October 8 will feature The Hare With The Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal.
It will be held at York Art Gallery where there are some Japanese prints which are related to the book.
The November gathering on November 12 will focus on Behind The Scenes At The Museum by Kate Atkinson. The Book Club will meet on the second Saturday of the month.
