EDINBURGH folk and Americana five-piece Blueflint return to York on Sunday for the first time since opening for The Proclaimers on their Like Comedy tour at the Grand Opera House last October.
Led by the close harmonies of Deborah Arnott and Clare Neilson at The Duchess, the band will be performing ballads and songs of eerie melancholy and heartfelt charm from their two albums, 2009’s High Bright Morning and 2011’s Maudy Tree.
In the Blueflint line-up are Arnott on vocals, bluegrass banjo and ukulele; Neilson on vocals and clawhammer banjo; Danny Hart on fiddle; Hugh Kelly on double bass; and Ali Murray on drums. Both their albums are available through Johnny Rock Records.
Tickets will be on sale at £10 on the door from 7.30pm. Alternatively, they can be bought in advance for £8 on 0844 477 1000 or at theduchessyork.co.uk
