THE English National Orchestra performs under the baton of Jae Alexander tomorrow in a celebration of ten years of the Proms Spectacular at Castle Howard, near Malton.

Concert-goers can savour picnics on the North Lawns as the ENO takes to the open-air stage to perform Cavalleria Rusticana, the Adagio from Spartacus, O Mio Babbino Caro, the theme from Harry Potter and more besides.

As darkness descends, the Best of British takes prominence with Elgar’s Nimrod and Walton’s Crown Imperial, before flags and singing voices need to be at the ready for the finale of Rule Britannia, Jerusalem, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and Elgar’s Pomp & Circumstance March No.1.

To finish, thousands of fireworks fill the North Yorkshire sky at 10.30pm.
