Bon Appetit! duo Jack Glover and Maggi Stratford present Fabulous French Music with a French buffet in The Basement at City Screen, York, on Monday night.
Doors open at 8pm for the 8.30pm programme of Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Léo Ferré and beyond, performed by York singer Maggi and Jack on accordion and piano.
“We’re professional musicians and performers based in Yorkshire and have been performing together as Bon Appetit! for more than two years, playing to very chuffed, sell-out audiences as far away as Alnwick, Darlington, Dent and Oxford,” says Maggi.
“It’s good to have a local venue on Monday so our York fans don’t have to travel, and though The Basement is not a ‘theatre’ venue per se, we’ve no doubt we can summon up a dramatic evening.”
