The 2011 Sunday Series of concerts from the Harrogate International Festivals team will begin on January 23 at 11am with English pianist Leon McCawley.
Running from January to April, the series is in its 18th year and this season it will bring such names as clarinettist Emma Johnson and two rising stars of the string world, Matthew Trusler and Guy Johnston, to the Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate.
Sharon Canavar, chief executive of the Harrogate International Festivals, says: “We’re very proud to be maintaining the reputation and tradition of the Sunday Series with some of the finest talents at work today coming to Harrogate in 2011.” Leon McCawley, who made his name in the BBC Young Musician of the Year and Leeds International Piano Competition events, will play works by Mozart, Chopin and Brahms.
Tickets are on sale at the festival office in Raglan Street, 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays.
