YORK Guildhall Orchestra is returning to York Barbican for its 32nd season, starting on Saturday night, when Leon McCawley will be the soloist for Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No 2.
Two works by Dvorak, Carnival Overture Opus 92 and Symphony No 8 in G, book-end the 7.30pm programme and the orchestra will mark the death of John Barry by performing his theme music from Out Of Africa.
