Shakira has said that she is putting off having more children because of her busy career.

The Hips Don't Lie singer and coach on the US version of The Voice plans to have several youngsters.

But the mother-of-one told Latina magazine that expanding her family with Spanish football star boyfriend Gerard Pique would have to wait for now.

"If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already," the 37-year-old, mum to 13-month-old son Milan, said.

"I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard - my own futbol team."

The Can't Remember To Forget You singer says that having Milan has made her more focused.

"I used to go in circles around an idea, but since he arrived I don't have much time- I have to rush back home- so he has helped me learn how to focus," she said.

The She Wolf singer said her boyfriend is "passionate" and added: "He's with me because he wants to be with Shakira the person, not the celebrity.

"There's real love, there's no ulterior motives. And I'm with him because he's the most amazing man I've ever met."
