We have three pairs of tickets to be won for the first night of the York premiere of Footloose The Musical, courtesy of York Stage Musicals.

Robert Readman’s cast will cut loose on the Grand Opera House stage from September 6 to 11 for evening performances at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Based on Herbert Ross’s hit 1984 movie, Footloose has been transformed into a high-energy stage musical replete with electrifying dance sequences and a dazzling score that includes Let’s Hear It For The Boy, Holding Out For A Hero, Somebody’s Eyes, Almost Paradise and of course Footloose.

The show is set in Bomont, a peaceful slice of small-town America until the arrival of city boy Ren McCormack, who will be played by company regular Alex Papachristou. Breaking every taboo, Ren brings dance back to the heart of a town held back by the memory of a tragedy.

Tickets cost £12 to £18 on 0844 847 2322 or online at grandoperahouseyork.org.uk
