A NEW book is promising to tell the history of York as you have never encountered it before.
Bloody British History: York has been written by Christina Surdhar, a freelance writer with a special interest in history and heritage who lives in a village on the city’s outskirts.
A spokeswoman for publisher, The History Press, which is selling the book for £9.99, said readers would “travel back to a time when the Conqueror was Harrying the North and arsonists, highwaymen and Gunpowder Plotters ran riot in the streets.”
