A 34-YEAR-OLD woman has been killed in a collision with a car in East Yorkshire.
The crash happened on the A614 Londesborough Road, in Market Weighton, just after 8.30pm yesterday, with a Vauxhall Agila which was being driven by a 65-year-old local woman colliding with the pedestrian as she tried to cross the road.
The pedestrian, who died at the scene, is believed to have been a passenger in a blue Ford Focus and had got out of the car when it stopped on the A614. Humberside Police said the collision is thought to have happened as the woman then tried to return to the car.
The Agila driver was not injured. Anybody who saw the crash or has any information about it should phone Humberside Police on 101.
