Van fire on A64
THICK smoke covered both carriageways of the A64 after reports of a vehicle fire near the Crambeck junction this morning.
The vehicle - thought to be an ice cream van - suffered engine problems and and smoke pouring out as it travelled east at around 7.50am today.
The road was not closed and police said the incident had been dealt with by 8.10am.
