Fire fighters tackle barn blaze
FIRE crews were called to a barn when hay bales caught fire.
The emergency services tackled the blaze at Hagg Side Lane, near Sherburn, at 9.10pm on Saturday.
Fire fighters extinguished 20 bales from the barn, which also housed pigs.
All of the animals had been taken to safety before the fire service arrived.
Crews from Malton, Pickering and Scarborough used four hose reels and four breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.
