FIRE crews were called to the scene of a fire in Monks Cross this afternoon.
A photograph on social media taken at 3.40pm shows a crowd watching flames consuming a vehicle in a car park outside Pizza Hut.
North Yorkshire Fire Service said it was at the scene of the fire in Jockey Lane but has not yet provided information about its cause.
The fire has now been put out. No-one is believed to have been injured.
