A MAIN road in East Yorkshire remains closed after a giant hole appeared in it.
The hole opened up over night on the A614 on the Holme-on-Spalding-Moor side of Howden due to the partial collapse of a Network Rail bridge.
Engineers are at the scene making the area safe and the cause of the collapse is being investigated.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and traffic diversions are in place.
Network Rail said safety was its main priority and the road would be closed for the foreseeable future.
