YORK and North Yorkshire's first trampolining park opens to the public on Saturday - and meanwhile some York City players have come along to try it out, as the club prepares to try to bounce back from relegation.
Energi Trampoline Park, situated in the old Nanometrics site on York Business Park at Nether Poppleton, boasts almost 100 separate trampolines.
It features Parkour walls, reflex games, giant air bags to practice flips and tricks, an Olympic-grade trampoline and a timed assault course.
There is also a 128-seat cafe with mezzanine viewing gallery, two party rooms and a conference suite for school visits and corporate events, and the centre looks set to be a top venue for children’s parties.

The park, which is creating more than 40 jobs, is the brainchild of York residents Guy Kilner and Aaron Cook.
Aaron said trampolining was really good for fitness, with research suggesting 10 minutes of it was the equivalent of 30 minutes fast-paced running and, because of its low impact nature, it could be beneficial for the elderly, people recovering from sports injuries and new mothers.
A spokesman said that prior to the public opening, various individuals had been invited to come along this week and try out the trampolines, including councillors, junior football clubs, police and martial arts organisations as well as York City players.
