THIS was the scene as a burning coach caused a York road to be closed today.
The incident happened at about 6.20pm in Top Lane, Copmanthorpe, close to the A64, and the junction to the A1036 was closed by police.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said nobody had been injured in the fire, but the road had to be closed for some time to allow the vehicle to be recovered.
Twitter user @GetYourSpeedOn shared this image with The Press, and suggested the coach was carrying a rugby team.
Rochdale Mayfield Rugby League also took to Twitter to confirm their team might be late home from York.
