A CAR caught fire after crashing into a lamppost in York early this morning.
Firefighters were called to the collision on the A1237 outer ring road at 2.20am.
Everyone was out of the car when the fire crews arrived.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the car caught fire due to the impact and the crews used one hose reel to put out the flames.
One man was taken to York Hospital by ambulance. He is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
