AN open day is being held at Haxby Memorial Hall later this month to show off proposals for a new library in the town.
The council and Memorial Hall trustees are looking at a scheme to move the library into a new building next to and linked to the Hall.
The open day is on Saturday, March 18 from 10.30am until 3.30pm, and will give people chance to see the plans and ask questions. Haxby’s old library closed last summer amid building safety fears.
