NESTLÉ UK chairman Dame Fiona Kendrick is one of seven distinguished scientists and global health, food and business figures to be awarded honorary doctorates by York University this week.
Dame Fiona heads up the UK and Ireland business and started her career in teaching.
The other honorary degree recipients are: scientist author and broadcaster ,Prof Jim Al-Khalili; neuroscientist, Prof John O'Keefe; atmospheric chemist, Prof AR Ravishankara; non-executive chairman of Channel 4, Charles Gurassa; global health and food scientist, Clare Matterson and microbiologist, Prof Baron Peter Piot.
Prof Koen Lamberts, Vice-Chancellor and President at the University of York, said: “This year’s honorary graduates are world leaders in their field, from experts in climate change and global disease, to leading figures in business and commerce."
