A motorhome caused delays and problems for other travellers when it came to a fiery end.
Two lanes of the A1(M) near its junction with the A63 had to be closed when a motorhome caught fire on its northbound carriageway at about 3pm yesterday.
Firefighters from Tadcaster and Wetherby extinguished the blaze and diagnosed its cause as an engine fault.
One lane was quickly reopened, but it took two hours for the surface of the second to be declared safe and reopened.
