The record breaking Tornado steam locomotive will be pulling trains on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway next Spring.
Earlier this year, she became the first steam engine in 50 years to reach 100 mph on a main line railway when she completed a dawn test run between Doncaster and Newcastle.
The Tornado will be working on the North Yorkshire railway from Saturday March 3 to Sunday March 11.
The railway’s general manager Chris Price said: “We’re very excited about the arrival of the iconic locomotive and are sure it will delight visitors travelling up and down our line.
Tickets for the Tornado trains go on sale today through the railway’s website at www.nymr.co.uk/tornado .
