A CASH machine caught fire in a North Yorkshire town early this morning.
Firefighters were called to Thomas Street in Scarborough at about 3.40am where an ATM had been on fire.
North Yorkshire fire service said the fire is believed to have started due to an electrical fault.
The fire had been put out before the crews arrived by staff using an extinguisher.
The crews used a thermal image camera to ensure the fire was out.
