YORK Archaeological Trust has welcomed three newly-elected members to its board of trustees.
Susan Palmer OBE, Professor Ellen Roberts and Peter Wheatcroft, join chair, Professor Anthony Robards OBE, and the six current trustees, in overseeing the strategic operations of the trust along with chief executive, David Jennings.
Professor Robards said: “On behalf of my fellow trustees and David, I am delighted to welcome Susan, Ellen and Peter to York Archaeological Trust and look forward to working with them over the coming years as we embark on our new five-year strategy.
“The experience, support and ideas contributed by the new trustees will play a crucial role in achieving the charity’s exciting aims of public dissemination during the period of the strategic plan.” The trust was founded in 1972 to respond to threats posed to the city’s heritage.
