A LORRY fire is causing heavy traffic on the A1(M) this morning.
Highways England said the lorry was parked in the hard shoulder between junctions 43 and 44 of the northbound carriageway, close to the turning for the A64
A spokesman said the vehicle is "well ablaze", and one lane has been completely closed to allow the fire to be dealt with by firefighters from West Yorkshire.

The road is expected to fully reopen after 3pm, and drivers are advised to expect delays.
