FIREFIGHTERS were called to a car fire in York.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a burning car in Copmanthorpe at about 3.25pm on Friday.
A spokesman for the fire service said the fire was out by the time the Acomb crews arrived, thanks to a passer by who put out the fire using a dry powder extinguisher.
Crews continued to cool the damaged engine bay.
Nobody was hurt.
