A ROAD in York was partially closed today after a driver required emergency treatment.
North Yorkshire Police and paramedics were called to the junction of Water End and Salisbury Road at about 4.50pm.
A police spokeswoman said a member of the public reported a car driving unusually and at low speed, and officers were sent to the scene.
On arrival, the spokeswoman said the male driver had suffered "a medical issue at the wheel", and police provided treatment until an ambulance arrived.
One lane of Water End was closed until the incident was over, at about 5.30pm.
The spokeswoman said the driver had been taken to York Hospital, but could not confirm his current condition.
