Crews tackle car fire on A64 slip road
A CAR caught fire on a slip road off the A64 near Copmanthorpe.
Fire crews from Acomb and York were called to the incident at about 7.45pm yesterday (Monday).
They put out the fire using a hose reel and breathing apparatus.
The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical fault, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
