Firefighters called to car on fire
FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a car fire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out to the A168 at Thirsk at about 4.12pm this afternoon.
A service spokesman said: "Crews from Thirsk and Ripon responded to a car fire on the A168 near Thirsk.
"They needed two breathing apparatus and put it out with a hose."
