FIREFIGHTERS were called in after a truck caught on fire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out to Scagglethorpe near Malton in Ryedale at about 11.30am today to reports that a pick up truck was on fire.
A spokesman said that, on arrival the crew found the blaze had caused significant damage to the engine compartment.
They put the fire out using a hose reel jet and dampened down the area. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault.
