YORK students had the opportunity to get more involved with politics at a debate between the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrats Parliamentary candidates for this year’s General Election.
The New Generation Society (NGS) hosted the gathering at the University of York.
Jen Bates, a spokeswoman for the society, said she hoped the event gave students the chance to get involved with politics at a “tangible level”.
Candidates for York Outer – James Alexander (Labour), Julian Sturdy (Conservative) and Madeleine Kirk (Liberal Democrats) – answered questions from the audience.
