YORK City fans will get their first glimpse of new signing Mitch Ward on Saturday when the midfield ace makes his debut against Scarborough at Bootham Crescent (3pm ko).
Ward, along with fellow captures Liam George, Darren Dunning, Arron Wilford and Andrew Jordan, are all set to mark the completion of their one-year deals by appearing tomorrow.
Current remaining trialists Craig Turns, David Porter, Fabian Bossy, Stephen Downes, Dave Merris and Stephen Capper will all get another chance.
However, Chris Smith and Scott Jones could both miss out. Smith is struggling after his hernia operation at the end of last season, while Jones was ruled out of the Leeds match on Wednesday with a virus.
Boss Chris Brass is not planning to use a host of substitutions., but added: "We will have to play it by ear, but tomorrow will be a real test as this is the sort of game will can expect week in, week out during the season."
Scarborough manager Russ Slade has major injury problems for tomorro's match.
David Pounder is already out until the start of the Seasiders' season and both Scott Kerr and Steve Baker limped out of the North Riding Senior Cup final defeat against Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.
Michael Price also missed that game as did Keith Gilroy but Slade is hoping that both will be available for selection.
Striker Jason Lee has been added to the squad again after impressing in midweek but his inclusion will depend on the outcome of discussions with his agent Cyril Regis taking place today.
"We are going through a bad run with injuries at the moment and it would be far better for us if it was a seven -a-side game.
"But I expect to play a couple of trialists, including Matt Redmile who was at Shrewsbury last season and another defender from Scotland but I am not naming him yet," said Slade.
