City manager leaves
York City manager Neil Thompson this afternoon left the club by mutual consent. A statement from the club said: "The directors of York City Football Club have considered the position of the manager Neil Thompson in the light of the first team's performances. "Following a discussion with the manager it has been decided in the best interests of the club that his contract should be determined forthwith by mutual agreement."
