A CURRY lover is still tucking into her takeaway after it was delivered to her new home in France, 700 miles away from her favourite Riccall restaurant.

The Press reported how the Spice Mill made the epic delivery after being contacted by regular customer Angela Rider who told them that French curries were not a patch on good old British ones.

Restaurateur Hobib Ur Rahman and his partners decided to jump in the car and make sure that Angela had a taste of Riccall curries in France, delivering a tandoori king prawn rezala along with a biryani, jalfrezi and six chapattis to Angela and her daughter, Sara.

Angela emailed The Press to publicly thank the Spice Mill.

She said: “We were amazed to see Hobib and the guys and it’s so nice that they went above and beyond the call of duty to do something so amazing. Weather sunny in La Rochelle this morning. Vegetable jalfrezi for lunch!”
