CASTLEGATE, in York, will be closed between its junction with Tower Street and 29 Castlegate from today until midnight on Friday night because of sewer maintenance works. Traffic will be diverted through Tower Street, Clifford Street and Castlegate. Sewerage works will also close Old Orchard, Haxby, between its junction with Holly Tree Lane and 82 Old Orchard between midnight on Sunday night until midnight on Friday July 16, with traffic being diverted through Holly Tree Lane, Greenshaw Drive, Cherry Paddock and Old Orchard.

The Village, Haxby, will also be closed between its junctions with North lane and Station Road, and York Road, Haxby, will be closed between its junctions with Station Road and Calf Close during the Haxby Carnival on Saturday, between 12.30pm and 1pm. Part of Esplanade, York, will be closed south-east of Scarborough Bridge to its junction with Tanner’s Moat during the Dragon Boat Challenge on Sunday, from 9am to 5pm.
