A MAN has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a crash on a North Yorkshire road.
The collision involved a white Ford Transit van and an AC Cobra car and happened at about 8.55am on the B1249 at Staxton Hill, near Ganton Dale Farm.
Police said the driver of the Cobra suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Scarborough Hospital for treatment, while the driver of the van was uninjured.
The road is expected to remain closed in both directions for another three hours.
